LA LLAMADA
Muestra de miniaturas sonoras

El museo taller Ferrowhite y el Festival Bahía[in]sonora 2017 invitan a artistas argentinos y extranjeros a participar de "La llamada", una muestra de miniaturas sonoras a ser reproducidas en viejos teléfonos que forman parte de la colección del museo.

Se seleccionarán ocho miniaturas de hasta sesenta segundos de duración que serán presentadas al público en las salas de Ferrowhite entre el 29 de julio y el 30 de septiembre de 2017, utilizando para tal fin teléfonos de ENTeL, la Empresa Nacional de Telecomunicaciones, privatizada en 1990.
Se prestará especial atención a aquellas obras que a partir del eje conceptual "La llamada" exploren la relación entre pasado y presente de las telecomunicaciones, así como el cruce entre registros documentales y experimentación creativa.

La selección estará a cargo de un jurado compuesto por Nicolás Testoni, director de Ferrowhite y coordinador del área visuales del festival, Demian Rudel Rey, coordinador del área comunicación del festival, Raúl Minsburg, coordinador general del área música y arte sonoro del festival, y Ricardo de Armas, coordinador general del festival.

Las postulaciones se recibirán hasta el domingo 31 de mayo de 2017.
Los resultados de la convocatoria serán publicados el viernes 1 de julio del corriente año en los sitios del museo y del festival. Los artistas seleccionados serán notificados por mail.
Las obras deberán ser enviadas a bahiainsonorafestival@gmail.com a través de un link de descarga de wetransfer (no otro servicio) ajustándose a las siguientes parámetros técnicos: 44.100 Hz - 16 bits - estéreo (wav o aiff).

En el nombre del archivo deberán consignarse el título de la obra y su autor. Junto al archivo de sonido, deberá enviarse, además, un documento de texto en formato docx o pdf en el que constarán el nombre de la obra, el nombre de su autor, el año de su realización, un correo electrónico de contacto, una breve sinopsis sobre la obra y una breve referencia biográfica del compositor.

The Ferrowhite museum workshop and the Bahía [in] sonora 2017 Festival invite argentine and foreign artists to participate in "The phone call", an exhibition of sound art miniatures to be reproduced in old telephones belonging to the museum's collection.

Eight miniatures, up to sixty seconds length, will be selected and presented to the audience in the showrooms of the Ferrowhite museum between July 29th and September 30th, 2017, using old ENTel phones, the National Telecommunication Company of Argentina, which was privatized in 1990

Particular attention will be paid to those works that explore the relationship between the past and the present of telecommunications, as well as the cross between documentary records and creative experimentation, based on the conceptual axis of "The phone call".

The selection will be done by a jury integrated by Nicolás Testoni, director of Ferrowhite and visual area coordinator of the festival, Demian Rudel Rey, comunication area coordinator of the festival , Raúl Minsburg, general coordinator of the music and sound art area of the festival, and Ricardo de Armas, general coordinator of the festival.

Applications will be received until Sunday, May 31, 2017.
The results of the call will be published on Friday July 1st of the current year in the sites of the museum and the festival. Selected artists will be notified by email.

The works must be sent to bahiainsonorafestival@gmail.com by a wetransfer downloadable link (not another transfer system) according to the following technical parameters: 44.100 Hz - 16 bits - stereo (wav or aiff).

The name of the file should also include the title of the work and its author.
In addition to the sound file, a text document in docx or pdf format must also be sent, including the name of the work, the name of the author, the year of its creation, a contact email, a brief comment of the work and a short biographical reference of the composer.
