Tercera muestra de miniaturas sonoras


Bahía[in]sonora y el museo taller Ferrowhite invitan a artistas argentinos y extranjeros a participar de la tercera edición de "La llamada", muestra de miniaturas sonoras a ser reproducidas este año en modalidad on-line. Esta nueva edición de la convocatoria se pregunta ¿A qué prestar oídos en estos tiempos inauditos? y adopta por tema tres adjetivos que parecen enredarse hoy en una trama intrincada: "Vital, viral, virtual".

Se seleccionarán ocho miniaturas de hasta sesenta segundos de duración que serán presentadas en el Bandcamp de Bahía[in]sonora y Ferrowhite a partir del lunes 5 de octubre de 2020. Se prestará especial atención a aquellas obras que a partir del eje conceptual exploren la relación entre registros documentales y experimentación creativa.

La selección estará a cargo de un jurado compuesto por Raúl Minsburg, Ricardo de Armas y Nicolás Testoni, coordinadores de Bahía[in]sonora.

Las postulaciones se recibirán hasta el domingo 20 de septiembre de 2020. Los resultados de la convocatoria serán publicados el lunes 5 de octubre del corriente año en los sitios del museo (www.museotaller.blogspot.com) y de Bahía[in]sonora (https://www.facebook.com/BahiaInSonora/). Los artistas seleccionados serán notificados por correo electrónico.

Las obras deberán ser enviadas a ferrowhite@gmail.com a través de un link de descarga de wetransfer (no otro servicio) ajustándose a las siguientes parámetros técnicos: 44.100 Hz - 16 bits - estéreo (wav o aiff). En el nombre del archivo deberán consignarse el título de la obra y su autor. Junto al archivo de sonido, deberá enviarse, además, un documento de texto en formato docx o pdf en el que constarán el nombre de la obra, el nombre de su autor, un correo electrónico de contacto, una breve sinopsis sobre la obra, una breve referencia biográfica del compositor, y una imagen identificatoria (de, al menos, 1400 x 1400 px).

Third exhibition of sound art miniatures

Ferrowhite workshop museum and Bahía[in]sonora invite argentine and foreign artists to participate in "The phone call", third exhibition of sound art miniatures, to be performed on line. This new edition poses the question: where should we focus our hearing during these noisy times? We call for pieces that are vital, viral and virtual, three adjetives that seem more connected than ever.

From October 5th, 2020, eight miniatures, up to sixty seconds long, will be selected and presented to the audience in the Bancamp site of Bahía[in]sonora and Ferrowhite. Special attention will be paid to those works which explore the relationship between the past and the present of telecommunications, as well as the crossover between documentary records and creative experimentation, based on the conceptual axis of "The phone call".

A jury integrated by Nicolás Testoni, Raúl Minsburg and Ricardo de Armas, coordinators of Bahía[in]sonora, will carry out the selection process.

Applications will be received until September 20th, 2020. The results of the call will be published on October 5th of the current year in the sites of the museum and the festival. Selected artists will be notified by email.

Works must be sent to ferrowhite@gmail.com through a wetransfer downloadable link (not another transfer system) according to the following technical parameters: 44.100 Hz - 16 bits - stereo (wav or aiff).

The name of the file should also include the title of the work and its author.

In addition to the sound file, a text document in docx or pdf format must also be sent, including the name of the work, the name of the author, a contact email, a brief comment on the work, a short biographical reference and an identificatory image (1400 x 1400 px at least).
